STONY POINT-Xavier Urena, 34, listed by police as ‘currently homeless,’ was charged last week with burglary in the second degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth following a home burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Stony Point detectives made the arrest shortly after receiving a report of a burglary at a residence on Bender Ct., which occurred around noon on December 20. Upon being stopped, detectives said they found Urena in possession of proceeds from the Bender Court home, as well as cocaine. He was arrested, arraigned before Stony Point Justice Court and remanded to Rockland County Jail in lieu of $60,000 bail.
He is due back in court on January 3Police continue their efforts to identify and arrest the second alleged perpetrator.
