Three Wednesday Comedy Nights at Empire City Casino Bring Holiday Season “Ha, Ha, Ha’s” to Yonkers in November and December

‘Tis the season to be jolly at Empire City Casino. Instead of “gobble, gobble, gobble” and “ho, ho, ho,” comedy fans will be roaring “ha, ha, ha,” with a trio of Wednesday Night Comedy Shows in the casino’s Good Time Room in November and December. Yamaneika Saunders will headline on November 15, the Howard Stern Show’s Shuli Egar leads the laughs on November 29, and D.C. Benny mans the mic on December 13.

Laugh-lady Yamaneika Saunders is no turkey, but she’s the pre-Thanksgiving main course on November 15 with all the trimmings that include featured performer Harry Terjanian and MC Chris Jones. Saunders, a Baltimore, MD native, is a stand-up veteran of more than a decade, hitting the New York and Los Angeles comedy scenes by storm. She was a semi-finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, one of the stars of Funny Girls on Oxygen and a panelist on The Meredith Vieira Show.

Howard Stern Show funny man Shuli Egar takes center stage on the 29, and will be joined by Leah Bonnema, with Empire City’s own Darragh Riordan hosting the proceedings on his home turf. A longtime fan since middle school, Egar met Stern in Las Vegas, and the two forged a strong on-air relationship, first as a frequent caller to the show, and ultimately as a contributor and correspondent for the Howard 100 News team. In addition to his work on the Stern Show, Shuli co-hosts The Jay Thomas Show, the Dr. Harry Fisch Show on Sirius XM, and has contributed to the Scott Ferrall Show and Miserable Men.

D.C. Benny will light up the holiday comedy tree on December 13, with featured comic Brandon Fitzgibbons and MC Lance Weiss adding to the decorations. Benny’s unusual style of telling autobiographical stories has been sharpened during 30 years as a stand-up performer. His personal essays have been featured in New York Magazine, The New York Observer, Narratively, and Heeb Magazine.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door the night of the show. Admission is $5 for Empire Club Members and $25 for non-members; non-members can stop by any promotions booth prior to the show and join the Empire Club for free. Elite Club and President’s Club members gain free admission. All attendees receive a complimentary drink ticket.
