MONSEY-A 3-month-old boy has died following an accident between a car and pedestrians on the westbound shoulder of Rt. 59.
The boy, his mother and two older sisters, ages 13 and 9, were all struck by a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Spring Valley resident Albert Gomez, June 26 during a shopping trip. The infant died on the morning of July 4
Gomez was not hurt in the incident. He was charged with assault and reckless endangerment. Police believe he had swerved carelessly onto the shoulder due to road rage.
