SENATOR LARKIN ASKS CONSTITUENTS TO SIGN PETITION URGING DENIAL OF PAROLE JUDITH CLARK

Open letter to all voters,

I am asking you to join me in calling on the New York State Board of Parole to deny the release from prison of Judith Clark.

Judith Clark was the driver of a getaway car in a 1981 robbery of the Brink’s armored car in Rockland County that left security guard Peter Paige and Nyack PD Sgt. Edward O’Grady and Officer Waverly Brown dead. Clark was convicted of murder and robbery charges and sentenced to 75 years in prison, but Governor Cuomo recently commuted her sentence, making her eligible for parole in 2017.

As Diane O’Grady, the widow of Edward O’Grady, said in a letter to the governor, “I find even the suggestion of her release an insult and slap in the face to the families, all law enforcement and veterans and military alike.”

I also believe that Clark’s release would be an affront to all law-abiding citizens. If you would like to support my efforts visit my website at: www.nysenate.gov/senators/william-j-larkin-jr

To minimize the lives of those dedicated to protecting the community is wrong, and I will be sure to keep you posted on my continued efforts.

Sincerely,
NY State Senator Bill Larkin
