PRESS RELEASE – The Rockland County Legislature launches the new Legislative Update this week to better inform the public about its important work.
The 17-member Legislature holds two full board meetings each month where it votes on a variety of issues that affect the daily lives of 235,000-plus local residents. Legislative Update is a bi-weekly recap of some of the highlights of each meeting.
“The Legislature is committed to providing the public with meaningful information,” Legislature Chairman Alden H. Wolfe said. “This new communications tool will allow us to expand that commitment by better informing the public of the many issues that make their way before the board, and that can often directly impact our residents’ lives.”
Legislative Update will be provided to media outlets and will be posted on the Legislature’s Facebook page and the county government website.
