Thanks for the great coverage of the Haverstraw 400th Anniversary celebration events. The recent dinner at the Elk’s Club was top-notch.

The celebration has lasted all year, starting with the opening on Feb. 22 at Town Hall, and then multiple events every month thereafter. My exhibit “Dutchtown and Major Andre” opened at the Historical Society on March 12 and moved around every month since then. Since Major Andre landed at Redstone Beach, we bring this bit of history to Haverstraw where it all began.
