VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired Honors New York Attorney Frank J. Cerza

visCarlton Fields Shareholder Frank J. Cerza was honored by VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the VISIONS Manhattan Advisory Board Awards Ceremony hosted by AIG.

Cerza, who received a special plaque and brick with his nameplate on it, was honored for his pro bono commitment — dedicating more than 100 hours of legal services to assist VISIONS in securing the necessary land use approvals for the construction of a new vocational rehabilitation center at VISIONS Center on Blindness (VCB). The center will be located on the VCB campus in the Village of New Hempstead in Rockland County, New York and it will be the first center of its kind in the state.

VISIONS also recognized Cerza for his dedication to its annual charity golf event, which helps the nonprofit raise thousands of dollars to support its mission.

“Frank has been a volunteer with VISIONS for many years. We are so grateful to him for his dedication and commitment to helping VISIONS expand its free services to legally blind job seekers. His expertise was crucial to getting all the changes and approvals needed to move forward with the construction project. Hundreds of blind New Yorkers will benefit from a residential vocational training center close to home adapted to specifically meet their needs,” said Nancy D. Miller, Executive Director/CEO of VISIONS.

He represents American and Italian companies and individuals in cross border transactions between the U.S. and Italy.
