36-year-old Garnerville man killed in Bronx attack

Armed robbers wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts apparently murdered 36-year-old Robert Bishun of Garnerville at the Bronx auto body shop he worked.

Police reports said the assailants tied up two customers and threw them into the trunks of cars. When they freed themselves the customers noticed worker Bishun was missing. Police found him two hours later dead in a car six miles from the scene.

Bishun may have had dangerous friends and enemies. In September he pled guilty to possession of heroin with the intent to distribute in a case connected to the auto body shop. Despite the guilty plea, he had yet to be sentenced at the time of his murder.
