Monsey Man faces murder-for-hire charges

Monsey man, Binyamin Gottlieb was arrested on September 6 and charged with being involved in a kidnap and murder scheme.

Gottlieb, 33, allegedly conspired with 55-year old Rabbi, Aaron Goldberg and 25-year old, Shimen Libowitz to kidnap and murder a Brooklyn man who refused to provide his estranged wife a religious necessary for a divorce to proceed according to Jewish law.

Gottlieb admitted to authorities that he had provided the two men, Goldberg and Libowitz with $25,000 to carry out the kidnapping. Gottlieb was caught trying to flee the country.
