Mike Coogan, founder and owner of Rockland County Computer Repair located in Stony Point, New York, discovered his love for computers while working on projects for school. “When I was in high school I knew that I wanted to put my passion and knowledge for computers to good use,” he said.
Coogan works with a small team of four to provide quick one-hour service. The company also offers remote help for people who can’t make it to the shop. The team fixes between 25 and 30 devices each week according to Coogan.
The shop works on various manufacturers products including Apple, Dell, HP, Sony, Toshiba, Acer and others. The hardest issues to fix are water damage and data recovery but Coogan loves seeing his customer’s devices back up and running.
Over the years as technology has changed, so has Rockland County Computer Repair. The shop doesn’t only fix computers but will fix customer’s iPads, cell phones and large screen televisions.
Coogan suggests getting computer operating security system check-ups to prevent malware from corrupting files or stealing them. It’s crucial to prevent viruses from stealing personal financial information.
When the team solves malware issues, preventative measures are then taken to inhibit viruses from coming back.
“We are widely recognized in the Rockland County area for delivering fast, friendly and consistently high quality services, along with expert guidance for computer security,” Coogan wrote.
Coogan also works for the North Rockland Central School District, helping keep their tech up and running.
