TODAY: Carlucci and RCC Team Up to Host Fifth Annual “Senior Fair”

Over 130 vendors will be in attendance to offer important information to seniors on important resources in the community

Senator David Carlucci (D- Rockland/Westchester) invites senior citizens to attend the Rockland County Senior Fair today, Thursday, August 25 at the Rockland Community College Fieldhouse.

Speakers at the event include Senator David Carlucci, Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Assemblymember Ellen Jaffee, Assemblymember Ken Zebrowski, Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Rockland Community College officials.

Additionally, the Nathan Kline Institute will be joining and addressing new initiatives including, cardio-respiratory fitness and cognitive health in normal aging. Hudson Valley Audiology will also be in attendance and be speaking on stimulating the brain with healthy hearing and balance: Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment relating to the auditory vestibular system.

The senior fair will allow seniors the opportunity to speak with representatives from various recreational services, health, legal and housing services provided throughout Rockland County. There will be a wide variety of guest speakers from different professions presenting on topics that are relevant to seniors.

The event has been one of Carlucci’s signature outreach initiatives during his six-year tenure in the State Senate.
