CPD arrest alleged assailant in Nanuet stabbing

Clarkstown Police are investigating a stabbing which occurred Saturday evening at in Nanuet.

At approximately 9 p.m., Saturday Clarkstown Police responded to 97 Tennyson Drive, Nanuet, for a report of a dispute which had resulted in a stabbing of one of the parties. The victim, who is a 50 year old Nanuet resident and an acquaintance of his assailant, had been stabbed multiple times.

The victim was transported to Nyack Hospital where he remains in critical condition. Suspect, Frank Keogh, 48 years old, from Yonkers, New York, had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Keogh was later apprehended in Wappingers Falls as a result of a traffic stop initiated by the New York State Police.

Keogh is currently in police custody and is awaiting arraignment before the Clarkstown Justice Court. Pending charges include Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Assault 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, and Criminal Contempt.  No mugshot is available at this time.
