The free children and family event will include bounce houses, kids activities, and light refreshments provided by Caked Up New City. A portion of the proceeds made from sales at Raymour and Flanigan furniture will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Our goal is to raise awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County. We will be giving out information on becoming volunteer or enrolling children into our program.
Each time Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs a child with a role model, we start something incredible: a one-to-one relationship built on trust and friendship that can blossom into a future of unlimited potential. According to a study, Big Brothers Big Sisters programs were found to “focus less on specific problems after they occur, and more on meeting youths’ most basic developmental needs.”
The matches that were observed shared everyday activities: eating out, playing sports or attending sports events, going to movies, sightseeing, and just hanging out together. For more information on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County, visit our website at www.bbbsofrc.com.
