John Walsh Special on Eugene Palmer Moved up To July 3

jbThe producer of “John Walsh, The Hunt” on CNN has informed the Rockland County Times that the date of his show’s special on the Eugene Palmer murder and getaway case has been moved up to July 3.

“The Hunt” is hosted by John Walsh, the former longtime host of “America’s Most Wanted” from its first season in 1988 through its final season in 2012. This will be the third season of “John Walsh, The Hunt,” which has aired 16 prior episodes, all during the months of July and August. Like “America’s Most Wanted,” “The Hunt” focuses on open cases and successful getaways, but instead of delving into several stories over the course of an hour, it focuses on one case for the duration.

On Sept. 24, 2012 Palmer shot and killed his daughter-in-law Tammy Palmer on his property off Willow Grove Road in the Town of Haverstraw. He then fled into Harriman Park and has never been seen or heard in public again. Tammy Palmer had been estranged from Eugene’s son John, but still living in a small house on Eugene’s property when tempers flared out of control that fateful morning.
