Midnight inferno claims home on Mesa Place in Nanuet

On April 1, 2016 at approximately 12:15 a.m. the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of a house fire at 45 Mesa Place in Nanuet.

Responding patrol units observed the second floor deck fully engulfed in flames and the fire was spreading. The two residents were removed from the home without any injuries. Nanuet, Spring Valley and Pearl River Fire Departments responded to extinguish the fire.

Paramedics and Nanuet Volunteer Ambulance were on scene to provide medical assistance if needed. The fire has not been deemed suspicious and the investigation is being conducted by the Clarkstown Detective Bureau and the Clarkstown Fire Inspector.
