Clarkstown Town Council Keeps Its Promise

The Clarkstown Town Council voted yesterday evening to retain the accounting firm,Bonadio Group, to fulfill a campaign promise to evaluate and improve the efficiency of the Clarkstown Police Department. The Police Chief has promised his full cooperation with the firm in its study undertaken to find ways to make the department more efficient and effective.

The taxpayers of Clarkstown should applaud the Town Council for its foresight and professional approach to exploring ways to reduce town costs and making all areas of our government more efficient. Supervisor Hoehmann has lead the efforts to examine each department with the goal of reducing costs and, in turn, help to reduce town taxes.
