A scene from the new indie movie “The Secret Garden” was shot in Nanuet, NY on Thursday, February 4.

Starring AJ Cross as Peter Sebastian, “The Secret Garden” is a taut psychological thriller that takes one lone spy to the edge to fight a secret war that may lead to nuclear fallout. Based on a paean by Jorge Louis Borges, “The Secret Garden” tells the story of a spy who must overcome all the odds to be the savior for humanity.

Up against a formidable adversary, Peter must do everything to stop the terrorists and rely solely on his survival skills to carry out his mission.  Nanuet was the setting for a memorable moment when the hero rides off on a motorcycle in the final moments of the movie.  Michael Mandia, a local resident, and owner of Vintage Dirt Works supervised the use of a Kawasaki KDX for the film and showed his kindness to the filmmakers.

The movie is slated for release in May 2016.  Additional info and a trailer can be viewed online at secretgardenthemovie.com.
