Ramapo Police Department welcomed their newest vehicle to its fleet in the form of what many refer to as a police “ghost car.” The ghost cruiser could be described as an optical illusion used by police to help crack down on traffic scofflaws without standing out.
Many law enforcement agencies use unmarked cars or subtle graphics to catch speeders. Officers refer to the cars as “ghosts” because of the white-shaded lettering and white paint scheme. Get ready to see this police vehicle traveling the roads of Ramapo soon.
