The award is considered the most distinguished  the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) can honor one of their properties with. One of only 69 hotels within the Americas chosen from the IHG system of more than 4,600 hotels, Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah was judged to offer the highest levels of excellence in all aspects of operations—from quality to customer satisfaction.

“We could not be happier with this distinction,” John Fennel, director of Sales and Marketing, said.

The hotel was named the number five greatest Crown Plaza in all the world and placed in the top five for customer satisfaction. Individual awards were given to Robin Graham, Crowne Meeting Director of the Year; Linda Columbia, Revenue Manager of the Year; Kim Bansil, Reservation Manager of the Year.

“Crowne Plaza is a hospitality jewel in Rockland County. We are proud of our management and staff for their continued hard work and excellence,” Hotel GM Robert Wilson said. “Without them we could not have won our third Torchbearer Award in three years.”
