Catholic Schools Preparing for Arrival of Pope Francis

pope pope2For the past few weeks, Rockland Catholic elementary school students have been preparing for the arrival of Pope Francis to the United States with a variety of activities, projects and curriculum specifically designed to bolster their knowledge of the Holy Father and this historic visit. Each of the Rockland Catholic Schools submitted a unique “Spiritual Bouquet,” a promise of prayers, offerings, masses, service hours, etc., pledged and to be presented to Pope Francis during his whirlwind visit to New York, where he will meet and greet Catholic School students representing the Archdiocese of New York. While most students will not have a chance to see Pope Francis in person, students from Sacred Heart School in Suffern, NY were thrilled to enjoy his “paper presence” in their school.
