COUNTY CLERK PAUL PIPERATO SEEKS TO OPEN NEW ROCKLAND E-ZPASS CENTER IN HIS NEW CITY OFFICE

In light of the recent closure of the Rockland County E-ZPass Customer Service Center, Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato is exploring the possibility of his office expanding their role as an E-ZPass On the Go Retailer.  Specifically, Piperato would like to provide Rockland residents with the ability to submit applications, purchase/return tags and replenish accounts at his New City office.

With the impending “all E-ZPass” Thruway toll plan, the need for a local Rockland County E-ZPass Center will become greater.  The closest center is now in Yonkers, over 30 miles from many Rockland County residents.

Piperato’s office already has extensive experience with E-ZPass On the Go, which allows his office to sell prepaid $25.00 E-ZPass tags.  They also have long-standing partnerships with other NYS Offices for the collection of fees for mortgage and MTA taxes and pistol license fees.  According to Piperato, “our successful track record substantiates that we would handle additional E-ZPass tasks with skill and responsibility.  Creation of a new E-ZPass Rockland Service Center will offer a great convenience to many Rockland residents and serve to increase revenue.”
