Crimes 6/30/15

DA REPORT:

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
Maurice Blinn, age 41, residing at 109 First Avenue, Nyack, NY, and Stacy Biroc, age 42, also residing at 109 First Avenue, Nyack, NY, were indicted on June 24, 2015 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about June 3, 2015, the Clarkstown Police Department executed a search warrant at the above residence and approximately two pounds of marijuana was found in the defendant’s bedroom.

ASSAULT
Jared Brown, age 27, residing at 504 Nyack Plaza, Nyack, NY, was indicted on June 25, 2015 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of assault in the second degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 17, 2015 at approximately 6:11 p.m., during an altercation with officers, the defendant caused an officer to suffer abrasions to his knees.

ATTEMPTED RAPE & SEXUAL ABUSE
Sheldon Innocent, age 23, residing at 22 Creekside Circle, Spring Valley, NY, was indicted on June 25, 2015 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of attempted rape in the first degree and sexual abuse in the first degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about June 17, 2015, the defendant attempted to forcibly rape a female and forcibly subjected her to sexual contact.

DWI
Carrieann Pecorilli, age 42, residing at 6 Highview Avenue, Florida, NY, was indicted on June 25, 2015 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of driving while intoxicated. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about December 25, 2014, the defendant was found passed out slumped over the steering wheel of her vehicle while parked at the Holiday Inn in Orangeburg. The defendant failed various sobriety tests and her blood alcohol level was .21.

ASSAULT & CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON
James Sanders, age 28, residing at 76 Main Street, Haverstraw, NY, was indicted on June 25, 2015 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about May 11, 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the defendant struck complainant in the head with a hard plastic meal tray causing a large cut which required six staples.

STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT:

DWI
Screen Shot 2015-06-29 at 9.35.14 PMJames P. Fagan, age 25, residing at 70 Front Street, Nyack, NY, was arrested on June 26, 2015 for DWI, DWI per se, and a vehicle and traffic offense. The defendant was arrested after an accident investigation determined the defendant was operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and in excess of .08 B.A.C. The defendant suffered minor injuries after losing control of his vehicle and striking a tree while travelling westbound on Willow Grove Road. The defendant was arrested and is currently being processed. He will be released on several traffic tickets returnable at the Stony Point Justice Court on July 21, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
On June 18, 2015 the Stony Point Police responded to a reported criminal mischief that involved extensive damage to a 2005 Honda CRV. Subsequent investigation determined said damage was done intentionally using a crow bar and a baseball bat. As a result of investigation, the following subjects were arrested: Michael Coskey, age 19, of 152 Dara Ln., Stony Point, NY, was arrested on June 18, 2015 for criminal mischief in the second degree (D-Felony). He was additionally charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree (AMisd) after intentionally breaking a pair of handcuffs while in custody. He was remanded to the R.C. Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. A 17-year-old of New Windsor, NY, was arrested on June 23, 2015 for criminal mischief in the second degree (D-Felony). He was remanded to the R.C. Correctional Facility in lieu of $1500.00 bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are likely.

ROCKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE POLICE DIVISION:

FAILURE TO RESPOND TO FAMILY COURT
Irina Mavrina, age 56, residing in Monsey, NY, was arrested on June 19, 2015 on an outstanding Family Court warrant issued on June 12, 2014 by Rockland County Family Court Judge Eisenpress for failure to respond to Family Court for arrears in excess of $35,333, which is owed to the private petitioner. The subject was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Friia of the Rockland Family Court and was released with a return court date of July 22, 2015 at 2 p.m.

FAILURE TO RESPOND TO FAMILY COURT

Erik Melanson, age 35, of Haverstraw, NY, was arrested on June 23, 2015 on an outstanding Family Court warrant issued on June 12, 2014 by Rockland County Family Court Judge Eisenpress for failure to respond to Family Court for arrears in excess of $1,120, which is owed to the Department of Social Services. The subject was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Eisenpress of the Rockland Family Court and was released with a return court date of July 1, 2015 at 2 p.m.

FAILURE TO RESPOND TO COURT
Peter McArdle, age 57, residing in Penfield, NY, was arrested on June 24, 2015 on an outstanding bench warrant issued on January 13, 2015 by Rockland County Court Judge Thorson for failure to respond to court. The subject was arrested by detectives from the Rockland Sheriff’s Office in Rochester, NY. He was transported and logged at the Rockland County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
