Police officer gets roughed up in scuffle at Lexington Bar and Grill

A fight outside Lexington Bar and Grill on Rt. 304 in Bardonia last weekend culminated in minor injuries to two Clarkstown police officers and the arrest of three men.

Clarkstown Police Department responded to the call reporting a fight at the bar Sunday, June 21, around 2:40 a.m.  One suspect, Jason Cantave, 30, of Spring Valley, was fighting with another male when two officers attempted to arrest him, according to police reports. Police say Cantave fought with the officers, causing minor injuries to them.

Police units calmed the fight, but in the process Cantave manage escaped. He was apprehended a short time later without incident.

Cantave was charged with assault, second (felony), escape, third (misdemeanor), obstruction of governmental administration, second (misdemeanor), resisting arrest (misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct (violation).

Bail was set at $ 5,000.

The other two arrests stemming from this incident were:

Jonathan Barnes, 29, of Garnerville, charged with disorderly conduct (violation) and resisting arrest (misdemeanor). Paul Pierrilus, 34, of Spring Valley, charged with disorderly conduct (violation) and resisting arrest (misdemeanor).

The injured officers were treated at Nyack Hospital.
