Two pedestrians struck in Monsey on Monday

The Ramapo Police responded to two separate reports of pedestrians struck in the Monsey area of Ramapo Monday.

At approximately 4:34 p.m., a 41-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Main Street in Monsey as he was crossing the street.  The driver of the vehicle was turning right onto Main Street from Maple Leaf Road when the accident occurred.  Hatzolah Ambulance and the medics were on the scene and report a non-life-threatening head injury.  The pedestrian was transported to Westchester Medical Center.

At approximately 7:15 p.m., near 32 Phyllis Terrace, in the Village of Kaser, a 6-year-old female was struck by a vehicle as she was exiting a stopped taxi.  The vehicle was travelling southbound on Phyllis Terrace, passing the stopped taxi, when the girl exited in front of the car.  Hatzolah Ambulance and medics were on the scene and report an injured arm to the pedestrian.  The girl was transported to Nyack Hospital.
