Crime Report 6/8/15

STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT:

zeppieriDWI
Michelle Zeppieri, age 32, residing at 229 Route 202, Apt. 1C, Pomona, NY,  was arrested on June 8, 2015 for aggravated DWI, DWI and vehicle and traffic offenses. The defendant was arrested after an accident investigation revealed the above defendant was operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and in excess of .08 B.A.C.; the defendant had a B.A.C. equal to 4x the limit, specifically a .32 B.A.C. The defendant did collide with the Joyce Plaza building on the corner of S. Liberty Dr. and Filors Ln. causing damage to same. The defendant was arrested, processed and released on several traffic tickets returnable at the Stony Point Justice Court on July 7, 2015 at 9 a.m.

MENACING & CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON

Robert J. Sibley, age 38, residing at 3 Rosetown Road, Tomkins Cove, NY, was arrested on June 5, 2015 for menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into a domestic dispute. It is alleged the defendant threatened a family member with a rifle during a domestic dispute. The defendant was arrested, processed, arraigned and ROR’d on appearance ticket returnable June 18, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. An Order of Protection was also issued on behalf of the victim.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

A 17-year-old male, of Stony Point, NY, was arrested on June 2, 2015 for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. The defendant was arrested following a vehicle traffic stop where he was found to be in possession of 37 glassine envelopes containing heroin. The defendant was arrested, processed and arraigned by the Honorable William F. Franks. He was remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is due back in the Stony Point Justice Court at a later date.

ROCKLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:

Bottani mugDWI
Joseph Bottani, age 24, residing in Pompton Plains, NJ, was arrested on June 7, 2015 for DWI. A Sheriff Patrol Officer observed the above subject operating a motor vehicle on Route 59 in an erratic manner.  The subject was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. The subject was processed at Sheriff HQ in New City and released on summonses to return to Clarkstown Justice Court.
Lynch mugDWI
Cody Lynch, age 23, residing in Piermont, NY, was arrested on May 29, 2015 for DWI. A Sheriff Patrol Officer observed the subject operating a motor vehicle on Rt. 303 in an erratic manner.  The subject was found to be intoxicated and arrested.  The subject was processed at Sheriff HQ in New City and released on summonses to return to Orangetown Justice Court.

Raymond Dennison, age 31, residing in Pearl River, NY, was arrested on June 1, 2015 for assault in the second and third degree, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. The recent “Look over your Shoulder” initiative (a collaborative effort between the Sheriff, local, state and federal agencies), resulted in a caller who was familiar with the above wanted subject, notifying the Sheriff’s Office, that he had been observed in the ShopRite on Middletown Rd. in Pearl River. Sheriff’s Officers responded immediately to find the subject checking out of the supermarket. When approached, the subject initially tried to identify himself as a different person, then tried to flee the area as the officers attempted to take him into custody. He knocked down a 76-year-old bystander in the process causing her physical injuries, and further resisted arrest causing physical injuries to one of the officers. The subject was finally subdued and taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Officers. Both the injured officer and the injured bystander were transported to Nyack Hospital where they were treated and later released. The subject was subsequently remanded to jail on $25,000 bail for the aforementioned charges, and no bail on the family court offense.
