In conjunction with Job Lot’s community-first approach to business, Ocean State Job Lot’s Charitable Foundation will make a donation of household items on May 29, 2015 to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County in support of the Family Assistance Program which fosters family independence and responsibility. Also coinciding with the store opening, a truckload of nutritious, shelf-stable food will be donated to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley courtesy of the Foundation’s “Three Square Meals” community meal assistance program. Carrie Jones Ross, food sourcing coordinator for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, will be on hand at the Grand Opening to acknowledge the donation along with local representatives from People to People.
