Route 59 Lane Closures Planned in Town of Clarkstown, Rockland County

Motorists are advised that single lane closures are planned for the Route 59 West between Crosfield Avenue and the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the Town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, so crews may perform construction activities, weather permitting. Lane closures are scheduled to occur on weekdays beginning Thursday, May 14 to Tuesday, May 19, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane of westbound traffic will remain open.

Drivers may encounter flaggers and experience delays. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
