Pascack Road closures expected this week

ORANGETOWN – Three separate intersections on Pascack Road will be closed for most of the week while road crews clear trees by the railroad tracks above the road’s one-way tunnel.

Clarkstown Police announced Tuesday that the road will be closed at the intersections of North Pascack Road and Perlman Drive, North Pascack Road and Smith Road and Lawrence Street and Second Avenue. Work is expected to begin on Wednesday, May 6 and continue through Friday, May 8 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Given the work is expected to begin in mid-morning, morning commutes could be affected by the closures and alternate routes are advised. Local traffic by residents on respective sides of the tunnel will be permitted.
