OPD apprehend ID Theft suspect

OPD arrested and charged Joel Rabinowitz, 31, of Congers on a felony charge of Identity Theft 2nd Degree on March 23, 2015. Mr. Rabinowitz was accused of opening a credit card in the name of a woman residing Blauvelt and then charging more than $500.00 to said card. Mr. Rabinowitz has appeared in Orangetown Justice Court to answer to the charges and the case is still pending.

Alleged heroin possession 

At 62 East Crooked Hill Road, Pearl River at approximately 1:26 a.m. on March 24, Orangetown Police arrested Jordan Giglotti, 21, of Pearl River, NY for Criminal possession of a Controlled Substance, seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor. Mr. Gigliotti was in possession of 5 smalls bags of a substance that is allegedly heroin. He posted bail and is due to appear for arraignment in Orangetown Justice Court on April 14 at 9 a.m.
