NORTH ROCKLAND FIRST EVER SPORTS DAY FOR CHARITY

On April 11 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., the first ever North Rockland Sports Day For Charity will take place at NRHS. All proceeds will go directly to Stand Up To Cancer, Boomer Esiason Foundation, and Friends of Karen.

The event will feature obstacle courses, relay races, sports, and many more fun-filled activities for adults and kids of all ages. The first 500 families will receive an athletic drawstring bag.

Team LaBier, LLC a third grade class at Stony Point Elementary School first conceived the event. During last week alone one third grade class raised over $5,000 for the three charities and Brega Transport Corp. donated $2,500 to Friends Of Karen, a not-for-profit for critically ill children and their families with headquarters in Westchester. They are also purchasing 150 t-shirts for all the athletes running the event.

Over 30 business sponsors have donated $100 to SU2C, Boomer Esiason Foundation and Friends of Karen and will be giving away items at the first ever NR Sports Day For Charity.
