Route 303 closure announced for next week

Motorists are advised that beginning Monday, March 30, State Route 303 in the town of Orangetown, Rockland County, will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hickory Street and Greenbush Road, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting. Work and lane closures are anticipated to last through September 2015.

Motorists may encounter flaggers and experience delays.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
