Ramapo PD reveals that former school bus driver has been charged with sexual assault of a child

According to Ramapo PD Robert Cosenzo, 71, a former five-year bus driver in the Ramapo Centgral School District focused on special needs children, was charged with child molestation over the summer.

Police are currently searching for any other victims of Cosenzo, as they feel that the incident in the summer was not his first time allegedly committing such an act.

Cosenzo was arrested on July 1 for allegedly touching and endangering a 14-year-old boy in a McDonald’s bathroom located on Hemion Road in Suffern. His working with school children as bus driver was revealed this week.

School officials have been contacted as well as parents of the district. If anyone has any information about Cosenzo, it is highly recommended to contact the Ramapo Police Department.
