19-Year-Old Accused of Breaking Into Home as Residents Slept

STONY POINT – A 19-year-old Stony Point man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Stony Point home, where the residents were at home and sleeping during an incident on Friday, September 26 according to Stony Point PD.

Yuri Goddard, 19, of 24 Jenkins Ave., Stony Point, was arrested Saturday by Stony Point police detectives after an investigation into the theft of a laptop computer from a Stony Point home – while the residents were sleeping.

Goddard is accused of second-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petty larceny. He was arraigned in Stony Point Town Court and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City on $1,000 bail pending a hearing.

Stony Point police were assisted in the investigation by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department’s Bureau of Criminal Identification and Orangetown police.
