Suffern company to put largest solar array in county on their roof

mdb-green-solarSources within the solar power industry have informed the Rockland County Times that Manhattan Beer Distributors, who have a large production and shipping facility in Suffern, will soon install the county’s largest solar array, surpassing the recent installation at Nice-Pak/PDI in Orangeburg.

Manhattan Beer Distributors boasts of being an environmentally-friendly company. They claim to be the first company in the Northeast to convert a portion of their diesel fleet of trucks to compressed natural gas, or CNG trucks. The company’s Bronx corporate headquarters already produced 1.1M of power and the Suffern facility is expect to produce about the same amount, powering half of their annual electric needs.
