Pomona, NY – Health Insurance doesn’t have to cost a lot . That’s why NY State of Health was created, to make sure all New Yorkers can get this important benefit. Even though the open enrollment period for 2014 has ended, you still may be able to enroll and get financial assistance. You can still enroll if you are eligible for Medicaid or Child Health Plus; if you are an American Indian or Alaska Native; or if you tell us within 60 days of a life changing event, like you moved to New York State, got married or divorced, had or adopted a child, became a citizen, national or lawfully present individual, lost employer insurance, or are no longer eligible to be on a parent’s plan.

If you don’t qualify, the next time you can enroll in a health plan through NY State of Health is November 15, 2014 for coverage that begins in January 2015. Small businesses can enroll at any time during the year.
