NEW GENERATION THEATRE FEATURES AREA YOUNG PERFORMERS

August 7 through the 9, 2014: The New Generation Theatre, a young performers theatre company in Rockland, launches its fourth annual production, “Hairspray.”

The big, fat musical comedy, “Hairspray,” is brought to life by a cast of teenagers from the Hudson Valley area under the direction of Sol Bloch and Justin Boccitto with assistance from Kimberly Kenny.

The New Generation Theatre’s performance of Hairspray is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI). “Hairspray” will be performed at Fieldstone Middle School in Thiells, New York. Performances will take place on Thursday, August 7 at 7 p.m., Friday, August 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 9 at 2 and 7 p.m.
