Annual Borderline Picnic, Jam, & Singing Party, Sunday, August 24 pays tribute to Pete Seeger

On Sunday, August 24th we will again be sponsoring the annual Borderline Picnic which this year will be a tribute to Pete Seeger at a new venue, Germonds Park, 165 Germonds Road in Bardonia, NY 10954. This event, which will run from 12:00 noon to 6 p.m. is FREE and open to the entire community.

The main stage performers are: James Durst with Madhumita Chakrabartti, Mara Levine, Loretta Hagen with Gary Hagen, Josh Joffen, Anne Price, Dan Einbender, Pat Lamanna, Marybeth D’Amico, Jeff Scroggins, Larry Kolker, Chris Brown, Michael Scolnick, Jim Colbert, Maggie Seligman, & Stout (Bob Conroy, Frank Woerner, & Frank Hendricks).

In addition, Roger Sprung will be running a non-stop bluegrass jam at the jam stage. There will be a workshop about Pete as part of the program. Co sponsoring this year’s festival are the Town of Clarkstown, Folk Music Society of NY (aka Pinewoods), AcousticMusicScene.com, and Folk Music Society of Huntington. Free admission; Bring your own food, drink, and lawn chairs.

Those who don’t can purchase it from the park concessionaire. Alcohol and pets are not permitted on premises. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation available to the park on Sundays. Driving: Palisades Parkway to Exit 10.
