Grand Larceny Arrest in Clarkstown

Report from the Clarkstown Police Department:

13-11366The Clarkstown Police Department arrested Angel Lopez, 35, of Overing St. Bronx, NY on April 1, 2014, for the theft of tires and rims from a new car lot owned by Tarrytown Honda .  Clarkstown Police originally responded to a report of theft from a car lot located on Western Highway in West Nyack on May 13, 2014. The responding officers determined the suspects entered the lot through a hole in the security fence. The value of the tires and rims stolen was in excess of $62,000. After an extensive and lengthy investigation, involving multiple jurisdictions in several counties, the Clarkstown Detective Bureau arrested Angel Lopez in the town of Greenburgh, NY. Lopez was charged with Grand Larceny third, Criminal Possession Stolen Property third, Auto Stripping first, Criminal Mischief third and Criminal Tresspass third.  Angel Lopez was arraigned in Clarkstown Court and was held on $25,000 bail. He is due back in court on April 4, 2014.
