New City Teenager Arrested on Burglary and Assault Charges

goddardOn January 13, 2014 the Clarkstown Police Department arrested Paul, Goddard, 18, from New City and charged him with first degree burglary, second degree assault and fourth degree grand larceny, (all felonies) and unauthorized use of a computer (misdemeanor).

Goddard entered a home on Old Hempstead Rd. in New City.  The homeowner returned home, confronted Goddard and a struggle ensued. The homeowner sustained minor injuries to both wrists and both knees and was transported to Nyack Hospital.

A Clarkstown Police K9 was deployed and Goddard was located in a wooded area off of Main Street in New City. He was placed under arrest and transported to Clarkstown Police Headquarters. He was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court before Judge Johns. Bail was set at $50,000 and Goddard is due back in court on January 15.
