North Rockland Girl Excels at Horse Riding Competitions

It has been the dream of a local young girl to ride competitively at something she loves. Kayla Koval began her training at the age of seven at Diamond Derby Ranch in New City New York under the tutelage of Deb Shields. She then tried and fell in love with English riding at Silver Rock Farms in Pearl River under the training of Laura Mason. Her most recent training is at Top Of the Line Stables in Chestnut Ridge.

She joined the IEA riding team at Top Of the Line in the 8-12 year old section. Kayla won her first blue ribbon in her first competition and she has won two first prize ribbons in her second competition, taking the Best Over All ribbon in her category. Kayla also volunteers her time at the therapeutic riding program at Silver Rock Farms.
