STONY POINT – The hunt for a gunman suspected of killing a man at a company near the Roosevelt Field Mall in Nassau County last week is now focusing on a body found this morning in the Hudson River.
State Police say that at about 9:30 a.m. the body of a middle-age Asian man was recovered from the river near Iona Island and the Bear Mountain Bridge. Members of the Troop F Forensic Investigation Unit are working with the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Nassau County Police in an effort to identify the body.
Sang Ho Kim, 64, of Queens, has been sought since the shooting at Savenergy in East Garden City. In addition to one man being killed another was injured. The search for Kim last week went to Orange County and then to Putnam County, where his car was found.
State Police in Monroe this morning assisted the State Park Police with the recovery of the body found floating in the Hudson River. Police said the body appears to have been in the water for several days.
