The Barry Fixler Foundation promotion video features Barry Fixler and Sgt, Eddie Ryan US Marines who saw major combat in Vietnam and Iraq, respectively. It’s a story of war over the generations and how one man’s courage to always give back and always remember our troops has transended to the newest severely wounded troops returining from Iraq and Afghanistan.

In this gripping video Barry tells of why its important to give back. The video also highlights Sgt Eddie Ryan, who Barry has helped, and who has a very current and telling story.

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films.  Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

Green Leaf Productions in a collaboration with Sahl Communications created the piece to further the mission of the Barry Fixler Foundation.  “Our mission is to assist veterans who have been severely wounded in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan,” said Fixler. “100 percent of the royalties from my book “Semper Cool” go directly to the foundation. Our goal is to always give back to our country.”

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards.  “Green Leaf Production’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”

“We are very pleased to have been awarded two Telly awards for this project,” said Rudy Vegilante CEO/President of Green Leaf Productions.  “It was a pleasure working with Barry and Sahl Communications.  Barry’s and Eddie’s story is so compelling. Its one that we were honored to capture.”
