The Nyack Village Theatre and Rockland World Radio have Open Mic Night Friday, May 18 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 “A Brother’s Love,” a tribute to Nina Simone at 5 p.m. at the Theatre. The Rockland County Executive Arts Awards are scheduled for Thursday, May 17 at Rockland Community College with a Silent Auction at 6:30 p.m and Awards Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. They will feature performances by the Hudson Vagabond Puppets and the Nyack High School Chamber Orchestra..There will be a desert reception and super raffle drawing. It is a celebration of the arts in Rockland County by the Arts Council of Rockland and sponsored by Orange and Rockland Utilities, Dominican College and Novartis Pharmaceuicals.
