DA REPORT:

Anthony Abdul, age 50, residing at 122 Parkway Mobile, Mt. Ivy, was indicted on March 23, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Assault in the 2nd Degree (3 Counts), Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about the evening of March 1, 2012 until the morning of March 2, 2012, the defendant assaulted the victim at the victim’s house. The defendant and the victim previously were in a relationship. The assault lasted throughout the night and into the next morning in various rooms of the residence. At one point during the night the defendant got a kitchen knife and held it to victim’s neck and threatened to kill the victim. The defendant also kicked the victim in the ribs. In addition, the defendant put holes in the walls and doors in the residence and broke items in the house. The victim had extensive injuries including three broken ribs, injuries to the head, and bruises all over her body. The victim was admitted to the hospital for several days.

Robert B. Alexandre, age 25, residing at 67 Broadway, Central Nyack, was indicted on March 23, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about March 2, 2012, the defendant broke into a residence located on North Broadway in Upper Nyack. The defendant broke a windowpane and entered the residence, he stole eight US Savings Bonds, two IPOD touch, an IPOD Nano and a BlackBerry cell phone.

Keisha Dilbert, age 33, residing at 957 E. 216 Street, Apt. 1, Bronx, was indicted on March 26, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about March 27, 2011, the defendant stole property valued at $2,289.90 from Old Navy in the Palisades Center Mall.

Norris Henry, age 64, residing at 258 North Main Street, Spring Valley was indicted on March 23, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, as a Felony and Driving While Intoxicated, as a Felony. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about July 9, 2011 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the defendant was involved in a motor vehicle accident. The defendant admitted to drinking and failed the standard field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol content revealed to be .24%. The defendant was previously convicted of DWI on August 25, 2009.

Juan Hernandez, age 34, residing at 22 Sharp Street, Haverstraw, was indicted on March 23, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (2 counts). District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about June 26, 2011 at approximately 6:30 a.m., New York State trooper observed the defendant speeding, changing lanes without signaling and following too closely while he was weaving in and out of traffic while traveling the Palisades Parkway. A trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over but defendant continued to drive and ultimately hit a guardrail before coming to a stop. The trooper approached the vehicle and observed the defendant to have a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath and observed defendant to have slurred speech and glassy blood shot eyes. The trooper observed a young individual in the vehicle. The defendant failed all field tests administered and admitted to drinking four beers. The defendant’s blood alcohol content was revealed to be .24%.

Victor Lopez, age 25, residing at 219 Sunflower Lane, Islandia, was indicted on March 23, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of Criminal Mischief in the 2nd and 4th Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about December 16, 2011, the defendant damaged property located at 90 Orange Avenue in the Village of Suffern. The defendant ripped an air conditioning unit off its stand and punched the front door causing the window to shatter. The total damage was $2,500.

Michael McDevitt, age 27, residing in Stony Point, pled guilty on March 16, 2012 to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 10, 2011 at approximately 1:50 p.m., northbound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway, in the Town of Ramapo, the defendant was stopped as a result of a vehicle and traffic law violation. Subsequent to the stop, the defendant was found to be in possession of 10 clear miniature zip lock bags containing cocaine. Sentencing is scheduled for May 25, 2012 before the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge.

Ann Milliaressis, age 47, residing at 241 North Liberty Drive, Tomkins Cove, pled guilty on March 21, 2012 to Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about August 1, 2009 through May 17, 2011, while the defendant was employed in the cafeteria of a Sloatsburg school located at 11 Second Street in the Village of Sloatsburg, the defendant stole monies. The defendant was the sole person responsible for accepting cash and checks from students for their meals and she was also the sole person responsible for documenting all bank deposits. The defendant was accepting checks from students for their meals, but entering lesser monetary amounts into the computer system and taking the cash difference for herself. Sentencing is scheduled for June 13, 2012 before the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge. As part of the defendant’s sentence, she will have to pay $2,000 back in restitution.

Andrew M. Schwartz, age 53, residing at 969 Park Ave., New York, pled guilty on March 16, 2012 to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 29, 2010 at approximately 8 a.m. on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the Town of Orangetown, subsequent to a Vehicle and Traffic Law Violation stop, the defendant was found to be in possession of thirty 33 grams of cocaine. Sentencing is scheduled for May 25, 2012 before the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge.

STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT
:

Charles Cayot, age 39, residing at 156 North Liberty Drive, Stony Point, was arrested for reckless driving. The defendant was arrested after investigation revealed he did operate a motor vehicle in a reckless manner. The defendant was arrested after he turned himself in to the Stony Point Police Department. He was processed and released. He is due to appear on April 5, 2012 at 9 a.m in the Stony Point Justice Court before the Honorable Judge Frank Phillips to answer said charge.

Emerenciano M. DeFrank, age 28, residing at 11 Georgian Drive, Stony Point, was arrested for arrested after he turned himself in on an active Arrest Warrant for Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree. The defendant was arrested, processed, and arraigned by the Honorable Frank Phillips. The defendant was released on an appearance ticket returnable April 17, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.

Felipe Morales, age 30, residing at 6 Delloro Street, West Haverstraw, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree and numerous vehicle and traffic offenses. The defendant was arrested after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic offense and a NYS DMV inquiry determined that his NYS driver’s license was suspended. The defendant was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a Suspended driver’s license. The defendant was processed and released after posting $100 bail. He was issued numerous traffic tickets and is to reappear on April 19, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Stony Point Justice Court to answer said charges.

Connor Reynolds, age 26, residing at 2 Skinner Court, Tomkins Cove, was arrested for DWI, Aggravated DWI Per Se and numerous vehicle and traffic infractions. Stony Point Police arrested the defendant after a vehicle and traffic stop determined that the defendant was operating said motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and in excess of .08 % B.A.C. The charges were upgraded to a felony due to a prior conviction for DWI within the past 10 years. The defendant was arrested, processed, and released on numerous traffic tickets returnable May 3, 2012 at 9 a.m. The above arrest was a result of an enforcement detail that was supported by funds provided by Rockland County Stop DWI.

Stephanie Satenberg, age 17, residing at 100 Dowd Street, Haverstraw, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and numerous vehicle and traffic offenses. The defendant was arrested after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic offense and NYS DMV inquiry determined defendant was operating a motor vehicle while her privilege to operate a motor vehicle in NYS was suspended. The defendant was processed and released after being issued numerous traffic tickets. Defendant is to reappear on April 5, 2012 1:30 p.m. in the Stony Point Justice Court to answer said charges.

Uhura Walker, age 32, residing at 17 Hurlbert Street, New Britain, CT was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree and numerous vehicle and traffic offenses. The defendant was arrested after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic offense and NYS DMV inquiry determined defendant was operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to operate a motor vehicle in NYS was suspended x 7. The defendant was processed and released after being issued numerous traffic tickets and posting $100 bail. Defendant is to reappear on May 3, 2012 at 9 a.m. in the Stony Point Justice Court to answer said charges.
